At ADC Tanzania Ltd, we are proud to support the Millennium Engineers Enterprises Ltd Solar-Powered Drying Facility Project, a transformative initiative aimed at modernizing the sardine value chain in Lake Victoria, Tanzania. This project, funded by USADF with a $247,956 grant, is designed to reduce post-harvest losses, improve fish drying efficiency, and increase incomes for local fishers, particularly women and youth. Location for this project is Mwanza Kayenze Ndogo Village and Kasalazi Island.

By implementing this project, ADC Tanzania Ltd is playing a key role in enhancing value addition, improving energy efficiency, and fostering economic growth in Tanzania’s fishing industry. Together, we are building a sustainable future for local fishers and the sardine value chain

ENdep Project: Energy for Productive Use and Cold Storage Refrigeration for Fish Traders in the Islets on Lake Victoria

This project, funded by the U.S. African Development Foundation (USADF), has awarded USD 213,739 to ENdep Limited, a Tanzanian renewable energy company, to address the significant post-harvest losses (PHL) suffered by fisherfolks and women fish traders in the off-grid islet communities of Lake Victoria, Tanzania. The project period runs from September 27, 2024, to September 30, 2027.

USADF, in collaboration with Africa Development Consultants (ADC Tanzania), will oversee the project's implementation, ensuring milestone completion and proper documentation for payments. Through this initiative, ENdep Limited aims to provide long-term sustainable energy solutions and enhance economic activities in the region.

JIFUNZE UTOKE is a program funded by the Africa Guarantee Fund through AFAWA, in partnership with Equity Bank Tanzania and ADC Tanzania. It aims to empower women-owned businesses (WSMEs) with training in areas like management, marketing, bookkeeping, and tax compliance. Graduates may receive tailored support to access loans from Equity Bank.
